CONGRATULATIONS TO

 Congratulations to all STFC athletes in their performances at the Canada Summer Games. 
More congratulations to:

  • Keegan Sharp - Bronze Medal Men's Decathlon
  • Michelle Young - Silver Medal Women's 400 meter hurdles.

Jordan Nosbush, Stephane Gerard, Cossy Nachilobe, Keegan Sharp, Landon Hretsina, Andrew Arndt, Sharai Siemens, Jenni Hucul, Michelle Young, Meghan Flavel, Christine Foth, Kim Elliott, Chloe Hetherton, Breanna Rak, Veronika Smits, Taryn Suttie, Jenna Mann, and Andrea Abrams for making the 2009 Team Saskatchwean Jeux Canada Games Team that will compete in Charlottetown, PEI from August 22nd to 29th.

Congratulations to all the athletes who competed at the 2009 National Junior Championships which were held in Charlottetown, PEI from July 17-19th. STFC was well represented with 12 athletes who attained multiple personal bests. 
More congratulations go out to:

  • Chloe Hetherton who finished 2nd in the Triple Jump with a seasons best performance 12.54m
  • Michelle Young, Jenna Mann, Jasmin Sjodin, and Chloe Hetherton who finished 3rd in the 4x100m relay.
  • Taryn Suttie who finished 2nd in the Shot Put with a performance of 14.91. This throw not only broke the provincial record but got Taryn a spot on the National Junior Pan American Games Team which will compete in Trindidad & Tobago from July 31st to August 2nd.

Tyler Young, Meghan Flavel, and Jenna Mann who were selected to represent Team Saskatchewan at the National Youth Championships held in Sherbrooke, Quebec on August 8th & 9th.

Head Coach Jason Reindl and former coach Jenna McCormick were also selected to attend the meet with the 25 athletes from across the province.

Michelle Young who finished 1st in the 100 m hurdles with a personal best performance of 13.69 and finished 3rd in the 400 m hurdles with a perforance of 62.58. Jenna Mann who finished 3rd in the 100 m hurdles with a performance of 14.23. Tyler Young who finished 1st in the 300 m hurdles with a personal best performance of 40.12 setting a new provincial record previously held by his coach, Jason Reindl.

Jenna Mann for being named Female Athlete of the camp at the annual Saskatchewan Legion Track and Field Camp which was held from June 29th to July 3rd at the University of Saskatchewan.

STFC club athletes Michelle Young and Chloe Hetherton were selected to the World Youth team that will compete in Suditrol, Italy from July 8 - 12. Good Luck Ladies!

Brianne Thiessen, former STFC club athlete has won the NCAA Division 1 Championship in the Haptathlon. She currently ranks 11th in the world with her performance.

Coach Dean Bertoia was selected to attend an internations throws conference at the end of September.
